Feather the roofing cement out on the surrounding area to flatten any steep edges.

A waterproof sealing product such as ge clear gutter caulk available on amazon is easy to use.
This way the cement will easily stick to a big part of the surface of the patch and will attach it better.
Trim the metal patch slightly smaller than the cemented area and firmly press it down.
Simply squeeze into cracks and holes then apply a further coating around the entire gutter joint.
Bend the strip to fit and embed the flashing in the cement.
Allow the insides of the gutters to dry out and brush leaking seams clean.
