A waterproof sealing product such as ge clear gutter caulk available on amazon is easy to use. This way the cement will easily stick to a big part of the surface of the patch and will attach it better. Trim the metal patch slightly smaller than the cemented area and firmly press it down. Simply squeeze into cracks and holes then apply a further coating around the entire gutter joint.

Bend the strip to fit and embed the flashing in the cement. Allow the insides of the gutters to dry out and brush leaking seams clean. Patch small holes with roofing cement. Just make sure the patch covers the entire hole and some of the space around it.

After the new gutter patch is completely dry you can cover it with some sealant to finish the repair. Spray the gutter channel with water and let it dry. Locate the hole then remove all loose debris such as moss leaves and twigs from around the damaged area. If there s any rust around the hole cut it out with aviation snips.

If the holes are larger than nail holes use tin snips to cut a strip of flashing the same amterial as the gutter wide enough to fill the area.
